Bobby J. Bryant

I would like to share a short story about a wonderful man.  It is apparent to me that this man will touch many lives the world over.  I was deeply touched when he walked into my office and asked me if I would write the foreward for his soon to be released work on the subjects of self and life.  This book describes the journey he is taking to become aware of who, he really is.  This book is designed to assist others who are attempting to do the same.  I was, and am, honored to do this for him.

I have spent a great deal of time searching for the meaning of life and who I am.  This search has literally taken me all over the world in the pursuit of a universal truth.  During my time in India, Nepal and Tibet I found myself surrounded by many wise and knowledgeable teachers.  In time, these enlightened and humble men directed me to return to the United States and offer assistance to those around me.  At first, I had no idea what this entailed.  Today, I completely understand.  I work as an intuitive and teacher attempting to guide people through the jungle of mind and self.  I have found that there are many people searching for meaning in this part of the world.  One of them is Bobby Bryant, the man that came to me and asked if I would write the foreword for "Your Life, Your Choice."

I originally met Bobby many years back when he came to see me on the recommendations of others.  When we first met, I could see what he could not about his life.  I saw a great man and a future teacher of many.  When we met, Bobby was lost and confused.  He had become totally disillusioned with himself and all of life.  I had a deep compassion for Bobby as he reminded me of myself many years earlier.  I recall the moment when I suggested to him that he would lead and teach others throughout his life.  He laughed, not seeing these things within himself.  I then shared with Bobby the wisdom of a great teacher, " One must be willing to lose themselves to gain themselves."  Although he seemed puzzled by my statement, I realized that I had gained Bobby's attention.  He was indeed losing himself and that was his fear.  He knew at that moment that he had no idea of who he was.  He, like so many others, thought that he was his things, his friends, his relationships, and his clutter.

Bobby was much like everyone else.  He was blaming everything and everyone for his disillusionment and frustration.  He was really deceiving himself as he would not assume personal responsibility for his actions and would not truly accept himself.  He began to come and see me quite often.  After each meeting, he left my office wtih many things to ponder.  Was he willing to throw his entire life away because of a failed love or the absence of his clutter?  Was he willing to pick himself up and find out who he really was?
There is an old adage that says, "You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink."  I, as the teacher, could show Bobby the direction to travel.  Bobby, as the student, would then have to choose to integrate this knowledge into his life.

Bobby has realized that his purpose and true self have nothing to do with the many things that defined his life for so many years.  he has learned personal grace.  He has moved from arrogance to humble peace by knowing himself.  He has fully opened his eyes wide to life and removed all things that were weighing him down, including his clutter and the dramatic lives of the people around him.  He has moved from the turmoil's of life to a fully peaceful state of being that is precious to his heart.  He holds tight to his way of life, which is visible to all that see him.  There is now a wonderfully humble level of confidence in his actions, thoughts, and words.  It is easy to see that he truly understands himself and the world around him.  He is no longer trying to fit.  He simply allows life to be what it is for him in any given moment.  He has picked himself up and is walking one of the most difficult roads that one may ever journey upon.  The path of the true self!     "Knowing thyself", is an ancient and simple principle which is difficult to accomplish.  Bobby has realized the depth of truth and the meaning of knowing thyself.  He has shed the old and allowed for the new to come into his life.  "Seek and you shall find" and "Knock and the door will be opened".  Opening himself up to these truths, has moved him completely outside the box to where he truly lives and breaths life.  By removing the chains that bound him, he has seen that wisdom brings thirst for greater wisdom in the unending path of this life and those to come.

Having read, "Your Life, Your Choice", I can assure all readers that are seeking to be self empowered, that this book will surely show you the way.  I applaud Bobby's courage as he has placed himself in a most vulnerable position by sharing the personal details of his life and his journey.  He shares wisdom and genuine humor with a heart felt desire to shorten everyone's path and journey inward.

Bobby knows the journey is never over and has just begun.  He has realized that when the student is ready, the teacher will come from within and will begin to teach when we are ready to listen.  An external teacher may only point the way.  It is then up to the true teacher from within, the student from within.  The true teacher will only arrive as we experience a mental stillness that allows the mind to hear the soft spoken words of wisdom and direction.  This is the teacher that Bobby has found and is looking to share with others.

This young man now travels in a different kingdom of life.  One could easily state that he is in this world but not of this world.  Today, he operates from a different rhythm of life and hears his own music.  He has become a firm but gentle soul operating through a body which is no longer simply a body.  It is Bobby's mission to bring inner peace to all that will hear him.  Anyone that hears his words of love and compassion will be deeply touched by his eternal wisdom.
